Jorge Olguin at Alive

We are pleased to have Jorge Olguin return to Alive for a series of three workshops.

About Jorge: A tango dancer, choreographer, teacher, competition judge and director of “Unidos pore el Tango” ballet academy, Jorge returns to Vancouver Island for a focused month of classes. For nearly 25 years Jorge has contributed to tango teaching and learning in Buenos Aires and internationally, in Canada, Italy, the U.S. and Korea, and is influenced by many remarkable teachers, including Natacha Poberaj, Javier Rodriguez, Sonia Peralta, and Carlos Copello. He has also studied Folklore Argentino and classical ballet and has most recently partnered with Monica Parra for his tours of B.C. in 2016 and 2017. Students will remember Jorge as an encouraging and highly observant teacher, focused on a comfortable embrace, clear connection and clean technique, with a wicked sense of humour.
